The bridges… A Wacky Wednesday Share!

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day, we decided to take the dogs to one of the rivers that has been dammed long ago. This river is dry most of the year, since they dammed it back in the early 1900’s. The reservoir now supplies some of the water for our town of Oceanside, CA. It used to supply all of it, but Oceanside has grown by leaps and bounds since then.

In these photos I am about 1 mile away from the ocean. This river flows into Oceanside Bay. I would of loved to see the bay and river before it was dammed and the lagoon killed.

The military closed or killed 6 lagoons in our area back during the war, to build roads on the coast.

#1 The old bridge

No longer in use. Love it's architecture.

#2 I am going to walk underneath it… Wanna join me?

I know someday it will be taken down, but until then..

#3 You might be asking yourself, what this has to do with Wacky Wednesday.

The wackiness comes to play from the graffiti. Can you see the graffiti? That lime green is really hard to see on the bottom.

#4 Tagged

I never know what the tags mean. I am guessing gangs? Who knows... Can you find the Luna the dog in this one?

#5 A different POV

#6 Luna’s cow impression..

That fresh green new grass must be tasty!

#7 Taking pictures on Nature Tuesday!

The burls of an old Oak Tree. I just loved the patterns in this.

#8 There were three points of interest on this little hike.

The old bridge and it's graffiti, some Native American Mortars without the pestles, and two new bridges that are beside the old bridge. Look for the rest coming soon.

I hope you have a WACKY GOOD WEDNESDAY!
