Tag, You're It Challenge Part 5

What started out to be a wonderful party with excellent food was taking a turn to the spooky side. Holcombe is an excellent story writer and as it turned out Malice is a great storyteller as well. Everyone was focused and hanging on every word.

Then there was a rustling in the tall grass nearby. You know that look that goes around, the one that says “We all heard it, is anyone going to do anything about it? ” Finally, it was leana Calotescu that broke the silence, not with words, but she pulled out her trusty camera, (she’s still planning on getting a new one). Whatever was going to take place she was going to make certain there were pictures to document the strange creature that could make that kind of noise that was rustling about.

Ellie was there with her dessert and had got all caught up in the story as well. She sensed that perhaps it was time to try the dessert and perhaps someone would be brave enough to see what was in the tall grass. Perhaps it was just the name  Malice that had made such a delightful part turn into an adventure, or perhaps there was something REALLY,  scary in that grass. As you know Ellie is quite clever and her dessert was all ready for the party-goers to participate.  She had filled cans with the ingredients to make ice cream. They put the small cans with the ingredients inside the larger can and the game of kicking the cans would surly break the tension and perhaps a leader would come forward to find out just who or what was in that tall grass.

THE WHOLE STORY

Once upon a time, there was a family that lived in the forest.

This family was unlike other families: no people but a family of birds. The local park was the perfect spot for them to start their new family. Lots of food and water to drink. Many trees to hide in and build nests for their extended family.

Spring was coming closer and closer each day, and the birds were busy building their new nests. Happy birdsongs were filling the air until something unusual happened – an unexpected visitor came to the forest… This unexpected visitor was a beautiful cuckoo, the only bird who does not have a proper nest as cuckoos steal the nests of other birds and lay their eggs in other nests. As a result, this family and other families of birds in the forest were utterly worried about this visit and the presence of this cuckoo called Malice. However, this cuckoo promised to behave correctly, and as a matter of fact, Malice prepared a dinner party and invited the rest of the birds in the forest to introduce himself. The dinner party began with a lovely concert preformed by the Mockingbirds. They sang a song of sixpence without any rhymes. All danced as Malice brought the food out from the kitchen. He had hired Ellie, to stop by and make dessert, but that was something he wasn’t revealed until later. For now, he brought out birdseed provided by Kim and CarolDM. Then, to get the party rolling, he began reading a story by Holcombe to the crowd. All watched the food get cold but could not leave the riveting story.

What started out to be a wonderful party with excellent food was taking a turn to the spooky side. Holcombe is an excellent story writer and as it turned out Malice is a great storyteller as well. Everyone was focused and hanging on every word.

And I nominate RasmaSandra to continue the story.

  1. Good for you for keeping this going. I added my part above earlier:
