This is not new. I think we had this in the family for decades. Our late aunt used to work in Cebu and she always brings us pasalubong and souvenir items like this one.
It’s a big shell, (I don’t know what kind of shell though). The design depicts the Magellan’s Cross, which is one of the well known land marks in Cebu. The designs were crafted from another kind of shell or shells.
