Today, the funeral of King Mihai I of Romania took place. That’s why I chose for today a photo of the royal crown that has been in this period together with King Mihai I of Romania.
The original crown was made for Prince Carol I using the steel of one of the Turkish cannons captured by the Romanian – at Plevna during the independence war in 1877. Carol I had chosen the steel instead of gold to highlight the courage of the Romanian soldiers.
