We stay across a Primary School. On the corner it used to be filthy as passersby will just be throwing their junk on the ground. Never mind the recycle bin standing there as large as life. No, the junk will be thrown next to it and not inside.
A few months ago the municipal workers cleaned that street corner and Aunty Kay felt she wanted to do her part as well and wrote the following notice board.
Now, she felt a bit uncomfortable to go put this notice board against the school’s fence when it was still light outside. So we waited for the sun to set and off we go with the flashlight. Laughing all the way there and back, feeling like naughty kids.
The notice board is still up today, and it WORKS. The street has been clean ever since.

I surely love Aunt Kay lol
She is great! I am sure you’ll love her.
That is a wonderful idea, great job in capturing this.
Lol, they say desperate times takes desperate measures. Thank you Carol.
Of course not! Far more important, for example; Save the Flies!
If Aunt Kay was willing to be an ad scriptwriter, the advertised product would soon be overrun by the buyer.
Hahahaha, the advertised junk?
Cute sign and glad to see it is working!
Hehehe thank you very much Kim.
We are the people. We never do what they want us to do. Is it difficult to throw away the garbage at the designated place. That’s what I’m asking.
That is exactly that. On some days we couldn’t walk on the sidewalk that’s how dirty it was.
