Church of St. George – 365 Photos Challenge ~ Day #24

During the Christmas crib I also admired the church. Whenever I get into it, I’m looking at the interior with interest, because it’s really wonderful.

The parish church dedicated to St. George is first mentioned in written sources in 1238. The present one-year Baroque church was built in 1747 in the area of the older one, only the belfry was preserved. St. George is considered a patron of various knights and soldiers. The inhabitants were defended twice before the Turks and in the southern part of the church a part of the 15th century walled wall was preserved.

I continue with 365 photo challenges. You shouldn’t be nominated but anyone who can join. Here are the rules from Artbytes in his 365 photos Challenge.
