“Scream Against the Sky” photomontage
Here is my first contribution for “Black & White Friday”! Woo-hoo, now we’re talkin’ !!!
The title of this artwork makes reference to an exhibition of post war Japanese art that I worked on the installation crew for. It was a show that had a long running and very impressive exhibition schedule. I will put a link to a YouTube video from the Guggenheim. I imagine that the title will make sense without me explaining my interpretation when considering the time frame of the artworks.
I am so glad about this B&W Friday thing. Is there a limit to how many we can do each week? (just kidding) Here’s a brief visual and stuff from the “Tube”. The link above is a review from the New York Times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8ZLqVH7WFs

A cat that was yawning and a sky made into a fierce scream ha, ha
Nice cat, yes that is a nice black and white photo.
The cat was really just yawning. Thanks
This first contribution was a big success in my eyes, Howard! This is cool.
Thanks, now my cat is famous. I have lots of B&W stuff – it’s something I like.
This is so cool Howard. Wow! You can post anything (well almost anything) you want as often as you want. So is this your cat? I hope he is yawning and not meowing. 🙂
Yes, he’s laying on the ground yawning. I have always had a place in my visual heart for black and white images and graphic arts. Happy Solstice! 🙂
I love it I did not know that I had challenged on Fridays.
I have to update it haha
Happy Friday
I thought it was Monochrome Mondays or something as well but maybe that was another platform. It is good to see you again. I was gone for some time (like 10 months or more) and now I’m back. I’m glad you are here again. I have seen some of your stuff from the “Steem” – Very nice artwork. What we need is a “TrippyTuesday” !!! Do we need to find Keith and ask permission? (haha,ha) Happy solstice 🙂
It looks like the cat is expelling something with the scream!
It has crossed my mind that I could have a better sky for this image. I wish he could see it. It would make him feel powerful. So fierce when he yawns.
It was cool either way!
Wonderful photomontage Howard. Congratulations on your first contribution to “Black and White Friday”!
Thank you so much. Now I can be a regular Friday contributor. Cheers.
(My cat looks fierce here. In reality it is from a picture of him yawning) 🙂
