Yesterday was one of those strange days. It started in the fairly early morning with snow. The snow fell for 40 or so minutes, not much and not a lot of covers, so I am not going to share a picture of it.
What happened next was interesting. I say interesting for one reason. We were on foot not in a car. Not that we saw a bunch of cars skidding and losing control. It was after all a Sunday afternoon. Not peak driving time in the DC area. The snow turned into rain, freezing rain, rain, and then once again freezing rain.
The picture today is of a tree covered in freezing rain. Well, a tree covered in ice now, but what once was freezing rain.
Wooow Doc. That is just too beautiful!
It was beautiful. I am really glad it wasn’t later in the winter/earlier in spring. It would have damaged the trees.
I am glad you liked it. It was a happenstance capture!
Thank you so much! Sometimes I get lucky!!
This is the worst time when everything is on ice.
I agree. The trees were still frozen the next day. I cannot wait for spring!
