Rub THE BELLY, FOR LUCK, RELAXAtion and me a connection to my father. The lucky stone was his originally but now sits on my desk facing me as I work. It is comforting to me, to know my father touched the stone, You can’t tell from the picture, but the Lucky stone has some heft. It comes from Thailand although I don’t think dad got it when we were there in 1972. I think he got it on one of his later trips.
I have several things like that some of which I’ve featured in pictures for the challenge.
It is funny to think about the things that bring connection. I have items from my grandfather’s and grandparents that remind me of them. I have quilts my mother has made that we use every day and each one reminds me of her. Those moments where we connect are so important.
Anyone can join the photo challenge! Look, see snap and share!
It was originally my fathers. Now it helps me focus in the morning!
Thanks as always! Memories are interesting things.
What a treasure you have from your father. And the quilts. I also have quilts and the memories continue on forever.
It is funny, my kids won’t sleep in anything but one of gma’s quilt.
