365 Day Photo Challenge Day 127

Not all the collections in the house are mine. A few of the collections in the house belong to my wife. In particular many years ago when she was working in the advertising agency, she was the project manager for a project for Valvoline Oil. If you bought a case of motor oil, you would go a set of cards. The cards were called 100 years of racing; the cards were detailed (hand drawn) pictures of racing cars of the past. The two framed card sets sit on the wall of my wife’s office (with a window, the window is a long, sad story).

The front of the car was a (hand-drawn) picture of the car; the back was facts about it.

On the wall of my wife’s office are two framed prints of the original uncut cards. She has two framed copies of the cards. One shows the back, the other shows the front. We’ve had them up in our house now for more than 20 years!

Anyone can join the photo challenge! Share pictures, keep track of the day in the contest you are on. Even if you don’t post every day, you can still be a part of the challenge!
