Goals and Accountability

Let’s talk about January 14, 15, and 16th goals and accountability. I practiced what I will be presenting at the funeral. I took steps closer to being able to learn tolerance with the brother who has no love or compassion for me. One of his children needs to see that it can be done and I am the only one who has been treated as he was. He needs to heal so I must at least try and open the conversation. I have made the preparations and done what I can to make things go smoothly.  I just need to keep it simple the next few days and show as much love and gratitude as I can muster. It won’t be perfect, because I certainly am not. I have given it my best.

Tomorrow we drive to southern Utah and mark the things we want from the home and take the things we cannot use to those who can. It will be a busy and interesting day. I probably won’t be on the computer much before I leave and I won’t be back until late on the 18th. This is not an easy time, and I am grateful that so many of you have been helpful. Thank you.

  1. I will be thinking of you and have a safe trip. I can tell you from the experience of taking mementos. When you’re looking over your father’s possessions keep an open mind and heart and the things that speak to you definitely take for your own. You will be happier for it later when you have had the time to really appreciate the mementos. Virtual hugs and blessings to you.
