When you cross our bridge, you’re on ISLAND TIME!
I covered more on this magnificent yearly event in my very last post, with a photo gallery. However, you can’t hear the wide range of music nor the wild, happy people through the photographs. So, I thought to post this video I made of the Chincoteague Island Annual Seafood Festival in 2011 was well-suited 😉
This is a grand experience EVERYONE should experience at least once in their lives! I hope you enjoy the video! 🙂
very Lovely post and a beautiful photo!!!! love seafood
Thank you so very much, Jasmine! We definitely love seafood here, too 😀
I would just go nuts there. Seafood…
That’s okay. It’s good to go nuts sometimes ;P
When seafood is involved, rest assured I would lose my tiny little mind
Seafood Festival is the first festival I ever heard. Do the people who join the festival eat different kinds of seafoods? What are they?
Yes 🙂 At this Seafood Festival, there are clam fritters, oyster fritters, steamed crabs, oysters on the half shell, clam strips, single-fried oysters, fried fish, hushpuppies, and more. It is a gathering centered around seafood and the celebration of its abundant harvest 🙂
That’s awesome. Where they harvest or gather these seafoods?
Much of the seafood at this particular festival is gathered in the waters surrounding Chincoteague and Assateague Islands, in Virginia, U.S.A. The portion of Virginia I live in is called the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in America! As well, it is also where a lot of our seafood comes from. To read more about the Chesapeake Bay: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_Bay 😉
That is great. Thanks for the info and the link.
thank you for sharing, I would like to experience this
Thank you for stopping by, Branka! It’s a wonderful experience! 😉
