Over 18,000 cases from around the world have been litigated against Monsanto due to their weed killer Roundup causing cancer. The first three cases that were filed against Monsanto were litigated in California. Monsanto lost all three cases earlier this year and the verdicts stated that they had to pay out millions of dollars. Those three cases have been appealed.
Now, more people are continuing to file lawsuits against Monsanto, but they are smartly filing them in St. Louis, the city in which Monsanto’s headquarters are located. The most recent case filed against Monsanto is a class-action case with 15 plaintiffs this past Friday. Another day, another lawsuit against Monsanto.
why is it better to sue them in Missouri?
Missouri state laws are very strict towards corporations. Also, Monsanto executives are required to testify within Missouri because Missouri actually enforces the Supreme Court decision that corporations are people.

I had to look it up. They have been in St. Louis since 1901. At the turn of the century, St. Louis was the technology hub of the world. The famous St. Louis World’s Fair was held there in 1904.
