Hello everybody,
It’s been another week that I have been on my low carb/keto diet/journey to health.
I have lost 3.8 pounds since last Friday…making it a total of 11 pounds lost since starting January 1st! That is progress. I had stalled for a little while and I was getting bummed.
I planned to start working out, but I got a cold which put those plans on hold. Once I am over my cold though I will start working out. I think I will work out in the morning before I eat my first meal.
On to my blood sugars….(first number is fasting)

January 19th

74 protein, 77 fat, 16 net carbs (29 carbs – 13 fiber)
My averages are getting better…they used to be over 200, now they are…..
14 day average – 116
30 day average = 132
What I seem to be having trouble is my fasting number. While they are highly improved, some are still too high. I always seem to have a 50-60 point rise during the night. I know it’s the dawn effect, but I am not sure how to correct that other than keep on the low carb for the indefinite future (which I plan to except for a few “cheat” days).

Hope I can follow that guidelines
Good for you, keep up the good work.
