3 Ways To Kickstart A Late Period

Irregular menstruation cycles are common among teenage girls. There are many reasons why your periods may be irregular, such as stress, being overweight, hormone imbalance etc.

Here are 3 home remedies to kickstart a late period-

1. Fenugreek seeds

Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water for 7 to 8 hours. Have these fenugreek seeds along with water. Works best when you have it on an empty stomach, so ideally one should drink this water early morning after you wake up. Generally within 3 to 4 days you would see the results.

2. Papaya

Including papaya in your diet will also help you in case of late periods. Have a bowlful of papaya each day. Remember to have on a regular basis. Start once you are nearing the approximate date.

3. Sesame seeds

A very tasty option.. especially for those who do not like papaya. Have a teaspoon of roasted sesame seeds along with half teaspoon of jaggery, twice a day. You need to have this on a regular basis ie atleast for 8 to 10 days, till your period starts.

While these are simple yet effective home remedies to kickstart a late period, it would be advisable to show your doctor in case of prolonged delay of your monthly menstruation cycle.
