Quote Challenge 1/3

“That which does not kill us only makes us stranger…” Trevor Goodchild muses sardonically at the end of Utopia or Deuteranopia?

He is, of course, riffing off Nietzsche but the distinction is important- because even if we survive something which cripples us in some way, are we truly strengthened by the experience?

#1 quote / underpainting

I've always loved that quote, which is an excellent observation for a dystopian society. The graphic seems to support the sentiment without being too disturbing

The text and font are nice but I wish now that I'd thrown in a drop shadow for increased legibility...

#2 value study

I've also included a cobalt tone value study because I've set your expectations for one and it would probably be a mistake to back out now...

What do you think?
