I have taken this photo from inside the Chindia Tower through a keyhole-shaped opening. The opening is oriented towards the main entrance of the Royal Court Museum Complex from my town. What role did this keyhole-shaped opening had, I do not know! The tower was built during Vlad the Impaler’s reign many years ago! Maybe there was an entry surveillance point. Who knows?
I took the picture because I thought it looked interesting in the B & W.
My previous B&W – Above the mountains.
Great photograph. I love that it makes you wonder what the story is on the outside :o)
You are so talented! Thanks for sharing this awesome image!
Truly interesting and amazing! You got the perfect shot of the subject. Great work!
Talk about the city of Târgovişte, Romania, built in the 15th century
Black and white photography is always good, I would like to note that even the interior of the city has a greater degree of sharpness,
I am talking about the Chindia Tower, the most important tourist attraction in Târgovişte( my town). Targoviste was the former capital of Wallachia for four centuries. This tower is the city’s symbol. It was built during the reign of Vlad Tepes or Vlad the Impaler.
Thank you for the additional information.
Great picture shot at just the right opening. Congratulations on such an ingenious picture taking. I would never have thought of that…
Surely you would have made such a photo if you had visited the tower. A photographer’s eye recognizes a good subject! ?
This capture looks so interesting, cool looking and full of mystery.
Certainly this hundred-year-old tower hides many mysteries! It was used as an observation tower.
Absolutely the best photography I have seen.
Thank you, Carol! I do not know if it is the best picture, but it is interesting because, on the one hand, it shows the past (see the walls inside, showing the passage of time) and the other side, the exterior seen through this opening brings us nowadays. I thought the picture was a connection between past and present!
