Just some more backgrounds for my Dia de los Muertos related work and these look like they’re really going to add something extra to the process. I have already started working on the wall of skulls, ¡ por favor, mira hacia adelante!

Glad to see somebody giving the Aztecs credit. They are much maligned by history.
Dunno, they were pretty much self destructing even before the conquistadors showed up
Well, that is what the conquistadors said through their scribes, who had a decided bias: 1) defile those you have conquered in order to justify your oppression, and 2) destroy the indigenous religion in order to substitute your own. All of your priests are now belong to me…
No argument there, but the Aztecs kept their own records and those verify that they were sacrificing whole villages at time to appease their bloodthirsty gods- not a sustainable practice…
I am pretty sure that ALL of the original Aztec documents were destroyed by the Spanish who then substituted their own versions. A minority yes, but I am not alone in this thinking:
