Stray puppy finds a home in Bakersfield California

The state of California gets a bad rap from the news media due to the politics in the Golden State these days.

However on this blog a young lady named Mercedes Thayer who is employed as a social media marketing coordinator at the Motor City Buick GMC auto dealer in Bakersfield California showed that she has a loving heart of animals.

Mercedes went to a baseball game at Bakersfield College when she saw a white dog wandering outside the stadium.

Mercedes found a soft spot in her heart to take home the female Husky since she seems to be a very friendly dog.

When Mercedes used the power of social media to try to contact the animal shelters if the white Husky who goes by the name “Lexie” was reported lost by her owners. When the animal shelters answered that Lexie had not been reported lost by anyone.

Mercedes decided to ask her employer at the auto dealership where she works if they wanted to have Lexie as the mascot of the dealership, yes received a “Yes” reply from her boss a the the dealership.

The Motor City Buick GMC is happy to have “Lexie The Mutt: as their mascot since she is very friendly to the customers who come to the auto dealer.

It is nice to see that there are some human beings that love to adopt stray dogs and cats to be their companion for many years to come.

It beats being put to sleep in an animal shelter.
