India: 'Dogs' retired with high military honors

For the first time in the history of India, a group of ‘dogs’ has been retired with the highest military honor.

The Central Security Industrial Security Force (CISF), which provides security to industries, markets and government enterprises in India, honorably retired 7 dogs on November 19 on their 8 years of service. The CISF organized a special ceremony for the retirement of the group of dogs and gave them farewell as a soldier.

The CISF also awarded medals to seven dogs for their service, including certificates.
