The sound of a boreal owl is a bit different. It both screeches and hoots. The screeching call doesn’t at all sound owl-like, though the hooting does. However, the hoot is soft and not very loud. I rather admire anyone who is able to capture actual footage of this owl making its call. They are normally very secretive and don’t usually stick around if there is a human anywhere nearby.

It certainly makes noises that a lot of people wouldn’t attribute to an owl.
That is fascinating. That owl looks so surprised or startled.
It’s just saying, “What? Whooo me?”
Being able to capture audio and visual for this owl is outstanding…and it’s adorable! I love the sounds that it makes.
