Do you ever want to say “Rain on your own parade and let me have my moment.” It happens here quite often. Some people can’t just share a moment of happiness with you. They have to point out a problem, a reason that it won’t always be, and try to bring make into the moment they are experiencing instead of the joy you were expressing.
I catch myself doing it others. It’s not my intention and still I fill the chill and realize I rained on their parade. I have been trying harder every day to sense how others might perceive the situations differently than me and I then simply be quiet listen and learn.

I don’t think I have had people rain on my parade too often. If they did it was their lack of sensitivity.
The best parades are the ones where you don’t care if it rains!
I wonder sometimes, about the fragility of people’s feelings. My new thinking about Virily is, do what makes you happy.
I love your posts, and I enjoy your comments.
Sometimes, though, I really do want a little solitude …. sometimes it just feels a little lonely
People are enough clever now they can easily assume your intentions.
They may not mean to do that but that is how they are – negative people
For the most part what I’ve run into is just people expressing an opinion. No, I hardly ever crave solitude. I like spending time with my husband…all the time!
