Bullying has become so widespread some people don’t even realize they have become bullies. If you perceive that you are being bullied here are the recommended steps that are given to handle the situation.
-
Report it ~ It could be that the person or persons are not aware that their behavior is bullying. So report it, so they can hear it from an outside authority and understand what the issue is and now to resolve it.
-
Don’t Engage ~ This can be difficult when you are being personally attacked. If you can learn to assume that others can spot the bully you have reported and they see not engaging your reputation and credibility grows.
-
Be Yourself ~ If you are changing your behaviors because someone or a group of people are bullying you, that will give more incentive to bully someone else. Once you have personally experienced it, you wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
-
Learn to Laugh ~ Control what you can, learn to laugh and let go of the things you have no control over.
