Only kiddin’! This morning I was looking to visit a garden elsewhere in Wexford. In the end I got a call and had to leave before finding my goal, but look what I came across in Ballyedmond 🙂 I had a good poke around, and it appears that the cottage was lived in in recent years: curtains still in the windows, no panes broken… But isn’t it astonishing how quickly nature reclaims her property!

What a cool find! The power built into nature is truly amazing. Hope you get to explore it again.
Oh, I will! It’s not too far away 🙂
Reminded me of Bilbo Baggins. 🙂
You’re not the first to say that!
Beautiful!
?
How wonderful! It looks like a Hobbit’s house!
It really does!
😀
I would totally live there. Its gorgeous and wild.
It’s very charming, I agree, but if you lived there you’d be in danger of the roof falling in 🙂
Ha that is funny 🙂
It is 🙂
Lovely house the stuff of faery tales,.fabulous!
Yes! Do you see thatched cottages at all in NZ?
No I saw some thatched cottages in England in 1982 and never went inside one. I think they look very beautiful
They are definitely very pleasing to the eye, but the need to re-thatch every couple of years makes maintenance an expensive issue. Plus there are almost no thatchers left in Ireland. I believe the owner gets some support from government but I doubt it’s worth the hassle. Pity to see them disappear though.
I’ve never been to Ireland but I believe it’s a very beautiful place. Others told me.
I can confirm it 🙂 But I’d dearly love to visit NZ. My wife is a plant wiz and would likely give her right arm to go!
Stunning view
I am happy you like it, Elena 🙂
awesome place and house
To look at, I agree. But to live in? Not to sure 🙂
Gorgeous
It is 😀
