You know when you are about ready to face an uphill climb. It is going to a tough hike. You are going to get tired, discouraged, cry and want to just give up. However, you stopped, evaluated, looked deep inside your heart and realized that you have to make some huge changes in your life. You have weighed all the pros and cons and gone through every possible scenario and now you know in your heart and your head, what you must do to be true to yourself.
Others are going to be effected by your changes and decisions. Many simply won’t understand. You are going to face more resistance then encouragement. You are going to have to take this journey alone and unsupported so you can get to the place where you can be happy.

I can definitely relate to this. Great post!!!
its never easy to walk the opposite path … but if it works for you, then you should try it!
Sometimes the right thing is not the popular thing …
I have learned many thing from making difficult decisions. It was hard, but faith got me through it. I pray for you to have faith and courage.
Thank you for the kind words of encouragement.
I guess it can be seen as selfish, but taking care of oneself is also an act of selflessness: people don’t like to be surrounded by the sad, the sick or the negative; why would attempting to become happy, healthy and positive a bad thing then? ?
Furthermore, it’s better to take responsibility for your own actions than be sorry for having listened to someone else. It takes a lot of faith, strength and willpower to start the journey, but that’s what maturity is about.
Growing up really isn’t much fun at all is it lol.
Most things are no longer fun when it’s your turn. ?
There is a mountain in Thailand that is famous. Famous because monks have carved 1000 steps into the side of the mountain.
To reach the top, you stop and read the inscription at each step.
My father and I climbed that mountain. It is the mountain of the famous saying “The journey of a thousand steps starts with the first step.”
What I learned in climbing that many years ago is the inscription on the last stair. “Now that you have arrived was the journey worth the effort?”
Wow! Thanks for the reminder of what life is really about, the journey. You are a treasure.
The easy answer to that is, you inspired me to reflect this morning!
