Who would have thought, that a simple breathing technique would be powerful enough, to effectively and quickly, slow down the pounding heart rate of a Navy SEAL during combat conditions?

I was paging through some innovative lifestyle techniques to fight off combat stress. Whаt І’m tаlkіng аbоut, іs sоmеthіng саllеd “Вох brеаthіng.” Іt іs а hіghlу sресіаlіzеd tесhnіquе whісh U.Ѕ. Well, the good news is, that the app, kind of like a flight simulator is now available online, for you to practice on as often as you like and master it. It is completely free to use any time you like, so, why not go over there and see how great it is, just click HERE

Wow, I have used tactical breathing to survive many hair-raising situations, but didn’t know about the app…going right over to take a look.
It is also a well known relaxation technique – one I have used multiple times during stressful situations. It works.
Funny, I never looked at this type of breathing as anything to do with the Seals. I learned how to properly deep breath after losing my son and still do it today.
Hello Carol, I was as surprised as you, to learn this and have been doing this for years. Yet, in spite of knowing about it, so many folks don’t use the technique. Thanks for reading Carol and also commenting.
I had two choices, learn it or not survive. Literally. I tell many the benefits of deep breathing and most just look at me lie, oh yea, ok. There are some things you have to experience before you actually understand it. You cannot explain some things. Thank you for posting this. I already had a ton of respect for the Seals. Amazing the level of training they go through.
By the way, I clicked on the app and it is amazing, others should take advantage and use it.
Thanks, Carol, I also hope more people will go and take a look at the app. In this headlong rush to oblivion, kind of life, we can all benefit from it. When I first became aware of deep breathing, I thought I would never master it and now, I find I’m constantly doing it and I’m combining it with abstract “kegel contractions”. Both of these exercises cost nothing and the benefits are immeasurable, especially in advanced age. Deep-breathing counteracts arrhythmia and kegel exercises prevents incontinence.
Carol, it truly is a survival skill. I have the app called BreathAir by OrbiteMobile on my phone. I like it because you can set the duration of the times. Four seconds is a bit fast for me. My favorite setting is 7 in, hold 5, 8 out, hold 5. When I was under a lot of stress I would start with 2 or 3 and work my way up to 10, but if reclining, I would usually fall asleep at or before the 10.
Thanks for the heads up Ann.
