This is a simple black and white shot that I am most amazed by, even though I shot it myself! What you are looking at IS a forest – a raintree forest – that was intentionally flooded to create the Kenyir Lake dam. Kenyir Lake lies in Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia, and is the largest man-made lake in South East Asia at 260,000 hectares. On this occasion, it was raining heavily and the light mist lent a haunting atmosphere to this shot.
Welcome dear
🙂
wooow, a great one Ac!!!!!!
Thank you very much, Karin! 🙂
Reminds of the train rides in Panama where I did see sites like these.
Really? Wow – were they also dammed up for hydroelectricity as this?
An amazing photo!
Thank you, Carol… 🙂
Its perfect. It looks like a book cover for a haunting at the lake….
Cool idea… Hmmm, maybe i should write the book now(?)…. lol
great photo, I love that you did it in black and white.
Thank you, Lady Nightwave!
So incredible looking
Thank you very much, Kathy 🙂
It’s sad that they flooded a forest. But it is a beautiful and haunting photo! Black and white was an excellent choice for such a stark scene.
Thank you very much, Blue Sailor! I agree, sad… but I guess it was in the name of ‘need’ – for electricity (it is a hydroelectricity dam) Thank you very much 🙂
Very nice photo
Thank you, Woody! 🙂
