In my last post of San Luis Rey Mission I thought I would add the random photos I haven’t shared but thought you might enjoy them.
History facts:
American Captain John Fremont assigned John Bidwell to secure the mission in 1846 after the war between the U.S. and Mexico. Later that year Kit Carson and Captain Stephen Kearny arrived and set up camp.
In 1847 troops arrived at the mission and The Mormon Battalion reached the mission.
In 1849 the army squadron built military barracks.
Not bad looking.
The cover.
And now the flora like this tree.
This Blue Agave and Barrel Cacti complement each other.
And these have tiny red blooms.
This one had blooms everywhere!
And these had fruit or berries of some sort.
That’s all folks, thank you for checking out my post!
If I fit to hide in your bag, I will follow you wherever you go. This place is very interesting!
Thank you!
