Welcome to Beijing Chinese Disneyland. Wonderland was a mega tourist attraction in China. The park is located about 45 minutes outside of Beijing. U.S. copyright laws in foreign countries being what they are, developers created a Disney World-park that was to be the biggest theme park in all of Asia. Construction stopped in 1998 over disputes between the farmers and local government over property prices. Developers tried to restart building in 2008, but with no success. The abandoned structures now draw only photographers and local children who encounter signs warning them to enter at their own risk.

Perhaps it is time for them to consider putting all that land to better use.
I think China has a far more lucrative plan underway, they are busy offering ridiculous money loans in third world countries, Nepal, Philipines, South-Africa, Congo Thailand, and when these countries can’t pay back, the Chinese claim strategic things like ports in lieu of payment. (They have captured about 5 countries so far., Hong-Kong being the latest acquisition)
