We now wash our hands like never before – thanks to Covid-19. I notice my hands look pretty used and a bit dry too. It is not just washing with water but we use soap too. And soap has some harsh ingredients.
I normally do not use a moisturizer but in the present situation I have to. I searched the Net for an effective moisturizer and this Nivea cream attracted my attention. I placed an order through Amazon in and have just received the item. Hopefully it should work.
Looks like hand washing will not leave us in a hurry. Good that we are getting into this habit.

I have dry skin. So now I use even more moisturizer.
I had oily skin till recently and now I see my skin is also showing signs of dryness. Besides moisturizing do you take food that will help you too?
Yes, I also watch my diet and drink a lot of fluids.
Aloe vera is a good moisturizer.
You are right. I use aloe vera a lot
Do you grow your own aloe vera?
I tried once but I failed. I will buy a new one and I will try again.
Just see that you do not over water it.
Thank you very much for the warning. I’ll be careful.
I have dry skin and right now it’s even worse. I like products that are rich in glycerine.
Do you have any suggestions for food that helps?
Do you mean as part of the diet or to apply to the skin?
As part of your diet. External application may not be as effective as having something in our diet.
You are right about that. I can’t think of anything specific but the usual stuff, eating healthy fat, drinking enough water, and maybe more fruits and vegetables.
I am using hand sanitizer .
But one also should wash hands.
Yes , I agree with you
But it is quite a strain on hands.
With frequent washing with soap and hand sanitizers, your hands would indeed dry up. I don’t think I mind that though.
I do not like it at all and so I will solve the problem by applying that cream before going to bed (lol)
