A nest of eggs in the front yard. I was out walking around in the yard a few days ago. I noticed a bird fly out of my miniature spruce tree. Of course I had to investigate. I had my phone in my pocket. I slowly walked over to the tree, peeked in and there it was. A nest of three eggs.
The first day there was one, then two, and now three eggs. One is laid every day. I snapped a few photos and then got out quickly. It took a little while to figure out what bird laid the eggs. They are a different color I have never seen before. After researching I discovered they are… Thrasher eggs.
I will keep you updated as they hatch, hopefully. The thrasher is aggressive during this time, so I have to keep my distance.
There are eight types of thrashers in North America. The Brown Thrasher is the most common type.

I have many birds and eggs in my yard every year. Very exciting. Thanks for the comment!
It looks familiar. It’s good to know its name. The eggs are a bit strange.
The eggs took me a few days to identify. Have never seen these before. First year of thrasher babies! Thanks for the comment!
That’s awesome, more birdies! I am not familiar with the thrasher, I don’t think it’s found here.
Thanks, it is great. Each year I seem to find another surprise. I think it is a North American bird.
It’s a wonderful find. I don’t know these birds.
They are pretty birds but, as most, protective with their nest. They should be.
