Sharing a photo of a grasshopper on my fence last summer. He was about two inches long. I took this one quickly so he didn’t hop my way. They are really cool critters to watch.
Nature has so much to offer. Just keep your eyes open as you never know what you might see.
As soon as the camera clicked this grasshopper jumped several feet the other way.

Yes it is fairly large. I used to zoom on the camera.

I would be image stabilization is a game-changer in shots like this!
I haven’t seen this type of grasshopper yet. We have mostly green grasshoppers.
I think it is called a Differential Grasshopper.

I stayed back but used my zoom lens on my camera. 🙂
