I had a notion again to paint some wild life. I love these little owls. It was an excuse to try out some techniques differently. I drew out my drawing on a base of grey gesso. Then I painted some white acrylic in for some highlights. This allows you to `throw in` some texturing into the base coat of the first pass of oils. After that had dried. I then built up the layers of oils, until finish.
