As the result of a Times report that Harry and Markle felt pushed out of the royal family, Prince William and Harry in a rare move issued a statement after The Times reported today that Harry and Meghan felt pushed out of the royal family in part because of William’s “bullying attitude.”
The Prince announced their intent last week to step back as senior members of the royal family and to be financially independent. A single source told the Times that, despite other sources denying it. They wrote, “The Times was told by an insider that the pair both feel ‘tied down by their responsibilities.
The source also said that the couple felt pushed away by what they saw as a bullying attitude from Prince William. This claim has been strongly denied by sources close to Prince William, as well as others close to Prince Harry.” So as a result of this, Harry and William this morning formally released a statement against that story.
The royal reporters said in a tweet: “Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge. For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”

It is very difficult to comment on the royal family. I think we don’t know and know the background too much. We only know as much as the royal family allows.
Yes, thank you Vidocka. I’m just curious, does anyone ever know anything about anyone? but, that which is based on what one sees or hears in public, one passes comment on that, until new information comes along to then possibly change that again.
My opinion is that it is not right what they did. They knew what they were going into and it wasn’t going to be easy. Royal families have rules of their own that must be respected.
The problem is that one does not choose to be a “royal”, but should one therefore be able to choose not to be?
I wonder how much of this comes from Harry and how much from Meghan? Has she had second thoughts and persuaded Harry to share her doubts?
You should have seen her Oscar performance here in South-Africa when she frequently burst into a flood of tears saying how difficult her life is among the royals, all fake. You don’t get to deface an ancient institution willy-nilly! Harry’s mom found out eventually about the word decorum as well. In short, it takes a whole lot more than a pretty face to upset Her Royal Highness the Queen.
I don’t think anyone doubts just how difficult it is for an “outsider” to become a royal. It is a very different lifestyle.
In past times it was unusual for non-royals to marry into the Royal Family. The Queen’s own mother managed it very successfully, but she was an aristocrat. The same is also true of Princess Diana, but she was badly let down by her husband, Prince Charles, who always had his eyes on another woman. William’s bride, the former non-aristocrat Kate Middleton, shows that it can be done, however.
Thank you those are basically my sentiments exactly, as you say Kate Middleton copes admirably.
That’s indeed sad. What’s the stand of the other brother?
He just misses his brother’s hugs which they did to comfort each other when their mom was galavanting all over France, etc.
So maybe Diana didn’t also like the stiff life at the palace? Because she is gallivanting.
I really do not share any enthusiasm about the royal family. I just wish them happiness and success in the things they will work hard for to be independent.
I agree with you. I am more concerned as I did a paper on them. Thanks for commenting.
