When we shifted from the city to where we are today we had brought with us saplings of areca nut that I was using in my landscaped garden designs.
Those saplings came from nuts that I had bought from my sister’s garden. I had several of them and all were planted here in our garden.
We now have several full grown areca cut trees. Areca nuts area commercial crop. What we get we sell them and there is a great demand for them. Many chew areca nut just like tobacco and even become addicts.

I love doing up my garden. You are incredible in what you do, Grace! How many years will a single areca nut tree to mature, up to 10 feet or so, as shown in your picture?
It should not take more than 4 years.
How wonderful, and that you started them from seed. Or nuts I guess I should say. We have date nut palms but the dates are much much smaller.
They are not eaten like one would eat dates
I haven’t seen one in years.
They are native to where I live.
This is a tropical tree and unfortunately it does not grow in us, dear Grace
I understand. Not all trees grow everywhere.
No , but it is somewhere in the distance where we live
You must be getting them in stores.
I have never seen these nuts…great tree
Coconuts have become world famous and many countries import them.
