Called hibiscus schizopetalus, it is known by several other names such as Coral Hibiscus, Fringed Hibiscus, Skeleton Hiniscus, Chinese Lantern, Japanese Lantern, and Pagoda flower. Notice how the Japanese and Chinese have given them names almost giving the idea that they created them!! Never mind (lol)
As kids, we called it hanging hibiscus. Obviously the Internet has not recognised it. Funny name. You will agree.
Most gardens around me including ours has this flower and the mini bush just gets loaded with flowers. The sad thing with hibiscus is that they last only for a day.
They can be propagated by cuttings and are perennial in nature. They need a bit of water and that’s it. They are satissfied with just that and yes a bit of sun too.

It is a different hibiscus than ours but we do have ordinary hibiscus.
This one here is considered ordinary.
I have this flower on my deck each year.
They are perennial and here they bloom throughout the year
Such a beautiful flower!
Here it is common and so not much is made of it. Such is life, I guess
I’ve seen a lot of hibiscus stuff like that, but not yet …. wonderful
There are far too many types in hibiscus
Yeah there are a lot of them
This is indeed very beautiful flowers
And the Chinese and Japanese think they own them (lol)
Oops I was going to click love it and clicked LOL. We used to have this bush in our garden when was a child. We used to called it the lantern flower. it was a special bush in our garden and one of my dad’s favorite plants.
The problem here is there is no edit but users understand and do not bother.
Another beautiful flower. Is this also from your garden?
Actually it is considered ordinary here and that is the irony of life (lol)
wow! it’s beautiful.
When the plant gets loaded it is a great view
