According to the Catholic Church, the Christmas tree represents life, since, during the Northern Hemisphere winter, the pine tree is the only tree that does not lose its leaves.
But did you know there is a right day to set up the tree? According to Christian tradition, it should be started only on the first Sunday of Advent Time, which occurs four Sundays before Christmas itself. That is, in 2019 this date will be December 1.
The picture is mine.

Wonderful tree. Is there any way trees can be saved from all the amputations for tradition? Earlier the wood would be used for cooking.. but now it must be discarded.
our family rule has always been the day after US Thanksgiving (which is close to 12/1!)
Each family has its own traditions, thank you.
Before I got married, at our family’s house a Christmas tree was usually installed a week before Christmas, but not anymore because my mother lives alone. All of her children live in their respective homes.
Oh, I see, each family has its own traditions, thank you.
Yes, you’re right, Nella, You’re most welcome.
This tree is beautiful! Where’s the location? I want to see with my eyes.?
I took this picture when we visited Plim in the north two years ago.
I usually don’t put up a tree, but you can do it whenever you like!

The day when one feels that festival is in the air

We usually set ours up two weeks before Christmas and keep it up until New Years. Great info here that I did not know.
Thank you, I read it in a newspaper and I found it interesting to share with you.
There is no proper day. To each their own say I.
