I am fond of dried fruits and nuts that I never miss sampling a new fruit or nut. In the picture is a woman offering a lotus pod to me. The pod has many seeds which are considered nuts. I tasted one seed and I did not relish it although it didn’t taste bad. Now I remember that I had bought 2 small jars of lotus nuts in Vietnam a few years back. Maybe the lotus seeds needed to be dried to gain the nice taste.

You fruit posts always remind me of food that doesn’t travel well. Although, lotus seeds do actually travel well!
All parts of Lotus plant are edible. We eat stem of lotus by frying it or grilling it.
Lotus seeds are supposed to be nutritious.
I have tested these. It doesn’t taste great but has different flavor.
Have never tried these before.
