Tigers top the list of the most loved animals in the world. It’s easy to see why.
Sadly, these wild cats are critically endangered. There are an estimated 3,500 tigers in the wild. They are hunted for their near, for sport and medicine.
Currently, there are six subspecies of tigers: Malayan, Bengal, Indochinese, Sumatran, South China and Siberian. Three subspecies of them went into extinct 80 years ago. They are: Caspian, Javan and Bali.
They can live up to 26 years. The average lifespan is 10-15 years.
An interesting fact about tigers is that they have antiseptic saliva. They lick their wounds to disinfect wounds.

I love to see the tigers at the zoo when I have gone there.
I have never seen them but I hope one day I will.
Well I missed a few. I sure do miss the Bengal Tiger at LSU since I retired!
Thanks for taking the quiz, in the first place.
I bet the Bengal are very beautiful. Does the Bengal cat a crossbreed from them?
I’m not sure but I would think not just because of the size. Bengal Tigers get up to 500 pounds or more.
Tigers are beautiful. What a great quiz. I wasn’t sure about the ambush.
Thank you. It’s funny that their group name is related to their mode of hunting.
well i missed that one so i guess in fact I was perfect! yay!!!
Yah! Congratulations, that was a perfect score.

No. 9: The correct answer is not all tigers have the same stripes. That makes the questions 9.
