This is a fun quiz all about the common confusion between the two central European countries of Slovenia and Slovakia. Although their histories are somewhat similar, they aren’t even neighbours! Let’s hear how you do 🙂

Very fun quiz and too easy for me because I am from Serbia
You got full marks, Milena? Well done, and thanks for playing 🙂
You’re welcome, Norman ! I enjoyed playing it 🙂
An easy quiz is nice for a change. Not easy for those further west!
I like easy quizzes. Finally, this is only a kind of fun, not any exam, isn’t it? Actually, it’s easy for me, because I’m from Belgrade but not easy for many people that are not from this area. A quiz from China or Japan, for example wouldn’t be easy for me and for those who are from there would be easy. I hope you agree with me.
Did you try my China/Japan quiz, Milena? 🙂

Haha…No, I didn’t. I am new here. I’m going to try it now 🙂 Thank you 🙂
I got 10 correct. Once upon a time Slovenia and my country, Serbia were republics of the same country named Yugoslavia. I never mix those two countries, but now I made few mistakes where right answers were “both” because I don’t know much about Slovakia. 🙂
Zaklina, I remember that time well. I was there several times, and of course never knew when I was passing from Slovenia to Croatia, from Serbia to Macedonia. Great memories!
I’m glad you had an opportunity to see the country I was born in, before it was teared apart. And now, there are boundaries everywhere both on the ground and people’s hearts and minds. I was so happy to see many of former Yugoslavia’s residents here, on Virily and to correlate with them. 🙂
8/13 I always confuse them, sometimes I even know the right answer and I still click on the wrong one. 😀 Fun quiz, as always!
Haha Ellie! I am genuinely surprised that the Central European and Balkan members didn’t get full marks! Thanks for playing 😀
Maybe when something feels close and familiar, we are not that tempted to learn about it or we think that we already know enough. Also, the more powerful countries take a bigger place in our education (at least for my generation). Both Slovenia and Slovakia are interesting countries, though.
Yes that make sense. Ellie, especially the “thinking we know enough” bit! I drove through Slovenia on a bus a couple of times (when it was still Yugoslavia), but I have never been to Slovakia – although right now I am having a short break in Prague – so very close 🙂
Quiz: Slovenia and Slovakia – Can you tell them apart?
You got 6 out of 13 right!
I’m surprised the central Europeans are not beating the Americans! But thanks for playing, Branka 🙂
You got 3 out of 13 right!
Could be better
Snezana – you are from Serbia?! LOL thank you for playing 🙂
I got 4 correct on this one….great quiz, just didn’t know much!!
You’re a long way away, and that’s a pretty good excuse! Thanks for playing, Courtney 🙂
Only got 7 correct, tough one Norman. 🙂
It is indeed, Carol! I’m hoping the mainland Europeans weigh in here, as I reckon no-one else stands a chance 😀 Mind you, that, said, you got over 50% so that’s not so bad!
I always feel challenged with your quizzes.
