I have been writing lectures for an educational magazine for grades K through 12. I will try to create quizzes here when I can. Glad you all like the quizzes and the word play poems.
I got five out of 9 nice quiz thanks for sharing
You got 5 out of 9 right!
Five out of nine on this quiz.
That is good. There will be more. Thinking about some vocabulary quizzes as well as more advanced verbs as in past tenses and participles and the subjunctive and possessive cases on these quizzes and the more English quizzes.
I look forward to taking on those quizzes.
Taking a day off from writing sites today, but come Monday and through the week there will be more. I am thinking one day German and Spanish. I have an old Spanish and German textbook from school they let me have.
We all need breaks from time to time.
There are a lot of English words that resemble a lot of French words if you look closely enough.
As a French Canadian I am disappointed that I missed one, although the verb “comprendre” also means to understand, that you have knowledge of, to include, see the light etc., so I just assumed that it also meant “to know”. Guess I was wrong. BTW, nice quiz and nice to know you understand French.
French is my favorite foreign language.
I am happy to learn that. Actually all my posts are first written in French and then I translate them to English which gives me a hedge up against the big P (plagiarism).
Wow I am surprised I got 7 correct! I am not familiar with French. Or so I thought.
There are a lot of French words that resemble English words. For example, comprendre meaning to understand and in a way the word comprehend.
