I prefer the wide one. You either get landscape the wide one or portrait the tall one.
Portrait is for specific things but then an exception can always creep in, trust your own judgement.

I like the wide because you can see more.
I keep forgetting I have a wider frame on this camera. I will try to remember to use it for the next sunset we have.
