  1. To be honest, I have been to such places in the province down south of Manila. But now I don’t think I am still interested due to the dengue mosquitoes and they also spread malaria.

    • Yes, I’ve heard about the dengue mosquito, mosquitos are still the biggest killers in history and have killed more people than all the wars put together. I have had malaria and can’t get it again. I was in a coma in a Catholic missionary station in an African jungle for 3 weeks. Your life, if you make it, is changed forever. It happened in 1979 but I still get those fever chills, teeth chattering, cold sweats and all while the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius.

    • I agree, Jenna, I think most writers would be able to live on an island, being very comfortable in their own skin. What I mean, is we spend so many solitary hours, writing, the transition would be fairly easy don’t you think?
