Since the grandchildren were here over the weekend we had to learn about jokes. An official definition is always a good place to begin. “a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, especially a story with a funny punchline: ”
Often times when children exchange insults and adults get involved they say “I was just joking”. It’s a cop out. Jokes should be well defined and humorous for the audience to whom you are serving.
We spent an entire hour playing joke or no joke. I think the grandchildren now understand. As for the adults, I think they need training.

fantastic and professional image! ## love all joke
A joke has a funny punchline when it’s delivered whether for the kids or adults. Timing also counts so much. And it shouldn’t be explained. Let the audience react to it. If they don’t get it. Well, they’re sorry.
i agree friend nice observation!
