Weeds are flowers too. Most of them are actually. Some will take over, others are as beautiful as the flowers we plant. Snapped a photo of these teeny tiny purple weeds in my garden. I love the little blooms. I almost missed them they were so tiny.

Here are a few quotes to share about weeds. I think I must be obsessed with quotes these days. This first one is a favorite one mine.
Criticizing another’s garden doesn’t keep the weeds out of your own. ~Author Unknown
What is a weed? I have heard it said that there are sixty definitions. For me, a weed is a plant out of place. ~Donald Culross Peattie
Crabgrass can grow on bowling balls in airless rooms, and there is no known way to kill it that does not involve nuclear weapons. ~Dave Barry

How do you feel about weeds? Do you get rid of them?
-
Yes
-
No

that is a tough question, do you kill weeds. It truly depends on the weed.
Poison Ivy – removed and kills.
Dandelions – removed and killed
wildflowers (native Maryland flowers), kept!
I keep some and the ones that invade the lawn (dandelions) are removed.
it is hard to choose sometimes. I was walking early this morning with my wife, and I saw weeds (flowering) in the field and was excited.
my wife said, why, those are weeds!
Some are poison but look so innocent. Sort of like people I suppose.
that is very true but the appearance is not often dangerous.
crap sorry I meant the danger. geez if only we could edit comments!
I agree about editing comments and posts. Frustrated to see my typos.
I like the quotes. I respect weeds.
Thanks, I respect most of the ones that are not invasive.
A lot of plants called weeds are brought in garden centres overseas, so my personal opinion, is that a weed that is invasive and prevents some other plant from growing should be removed.
Yes that is what I do as well Pam, in my gardens and lawn.
Well dandelion can be a health benefit, as well as stinging nettles and onion flower can replace onions and garlic.
I am not a fanatic of anything, usually use plants for my own purposes.
A weed is a plant that is unwanted, unwelcome but still grows uncared for to prove it is migtier than the ones that need so much care.
Very true. I do have some that I have to get rid of in the lawn but not the garden.
These are very interesting thoughts. I keep finding out that many weeds are actually herbs. I enjoy everything that blooms.
Many weeds are good to keep for many reasons. But some have to go.
Unfortunately, I remove the weeds. In between there is also one with beautiful flowers.
Some of mine are removed as well, like the dandelions.
