This is a marigold plant As you can see there are no leaves on it and even the stem looks dead and yet it did not stop yielding.
Those flowers are fresh and it will still yield. We pulled out the plant months later only after it stopped yielding
There are healthier plants but they do not yield. Nature works in different ways and that we will never understand.

Nature sure is amazing and glad that the plant is so strong
I pulled it out most unwillingly
When we moved to Bucklands Beach the garden was a mess and a lot of former plants were gone because they were mown down later.
We had one yellow rose show its head first, that bloomed and flowered and then it grew some more and had two more buds showed and also bloomed and flowered.
Also found another rose by the corner of the house. Not seen a bloom on that.
I sometimes wonder why more do not take to gardening Gardening is such an interesting pass time. Good luck with that plant that has yet to bloom Pam.
I think gardening is a very good thing to clean the air as well as produce food, and it gives satisfaction to see plants grow.
A really special plant. I also have marigold but not that tall.
The plant looked ugly but I just could not pull it out.
