In a few months we will see hawkers selling watermelons. Watermelons are ideal for the summer season and that is the time we get them.
Apart from just eating them watermelons, as you can see in the photo are a table decoration specially for a formal dinner. This decoration is easy to make. You need a melon ball scooper. The watermelon is gently cut into half retaining a part for the handle. What is left in the half that is discarded is also scooped into melon balls.
The scooped melon balls are kept in the fridge and the other half of the melon that has the handle is filled with them just when it is time to serve.
Watermelon smoothie is yet another delicious delight.
