The test of our faith

When the lockdown was declared, many were surprised that the rules would include the church. Any kind of gathering is prohibited in relation to the threat of the corona virus. Contamination is by being near a carrier so the lockdown rule is to practice social distancing which means we should not be near each other. A distance of 3 feet or 1 meter is advised and later it was 6 feet just to be sure of safety.

With the closing of the church, the option of the faithful is to watch the church rites on tv or via internet streaming. Any kind of religious activity is not allowed so there will be no holy mass in the church, no processions, no parade. In short, nothing. This is the time to reflect on what we have, a simple call for a test of faith.

  • Do you go to church every day?

    • Yes
    • No
    • just once a week
    • twice a week
    • every weekend only
    • sometimes

  1. As a child Latvians who are Lutherans rented a church. I love going there for services it was a beautiful church. I have not been to church now for a very long time. I don’t need a church for my faith. I pray in the morning and at night I say the Lord’s Prayer.
