    Cats are not suppose to like sweets. But I have seen them each ice cream.
    So funny!

    • You are correct.. Kind of.. There are a few different theories.
      1. Cats lack the necessary enzyme to break down vegetable matter. Cats that go outside eat mice, even the bones, hair, etc. When a cat eats grass they regurgitate, bringing up the things that arent supposed to be digested.
      2. Grass contains folic acid, this is essential for a cats bodily functions and assist in the production of hemoglobin. Think of it as a wheat grass shake for cats.
      3. Grass acts as a laxative as well. Not only does it make a cat throw up, but the stuff that gets in the intestinal track sometimes needs help moving along.

      • LOL, thanks for the explanation! I learnt more about cats and them eating grass!! – so it was not all “rumours”!

        But here, we have huge mice and the cats shun them … they’re usually too pampered because many people feed stray cats (but don’t keep them as pets) so they just sit there waiting for food …
