After the harrowing experiences travelling by local trains in India this was smooth as silk. We took the train in New Jersey with New York as our destination. We were on our way to watching a show at one of the Broadway theatres. The train was in level with the platform which meant no climbing as opposed to what we experience in India.
The seating arrangements were so comfortable and the train was not crowded. While on holiday I always insist that I get a local experience. I visited local markets, a church, a bank and a park too not to exclude a movie theatre.
I thrive on memories relaxing in my favourite corner and this is one such memory.

The public transportation here is only busses.
Trains would have made life easy for commuters there.
Our train is yellow and much like this train..We don’t have enough trains in NZ and prefer trains to buses any day
There is no dearth of trains in India but they are always over crowded.
Really much fun when every travel on train!
Do you get to travel by train often?
I like taking trains but I have not taken one recently. There are always images of trains in India so crammed with people that look unbelievable.
That is why I said I enjoyed taking this ride in New Jersey
